Review of The Awesome A - Norfolk & Westerns 1218 DVD

This video is about Norfolk and Western's big Class A steamer, number 1218. You'll see this awesome machine on her initial move from Birmingham, Alabama to Roanoke, Virginia. Then you'll be on hand to see 1218 westbound out of Roanoke to Bluefield, West Virginia. You'll see the 1218 tackle the famous Blue Ridge grade on the way to Lynchburg and then it's up and over Christiansburg Mountain on the way to Walton. This is spectacular mountain railroading at it's best!

In part two you'll see the 1218 run west out of Kenova, West Virginia, to Columbus, Bellevue, and Toledo, Ohio. Over forty runbys, pacing scenes, and glass smooth aerial shots will help you understand why N&W 1218 is "The Awesome A."

Digitally re-mastered, "The Awesome A" brings you an hour and forty-five minutes of N&W steam action!
