In this show, we will follow BNSF's historic and scenic former Milwaukee Road mainline from Summit, South Dakota to Terry, Montana, with extended coverage to Miles City, Montana. Also covered in this program, the "Core Lines", from Sioux City, Iowa to Aberdeen, South Dakota, host a variety of local freights, extras, and grain trains as the rails traverse the serene South Dakota countryside. We will also follow several Dakota & Iowa trains across their former Milwaukee rails with the railroad's classy SD39's, SD40-2's, and GP9's in charge. A great variety of BNSF motive power can be seen in this show, as many older locomotives were assigned to manifest and local trains that traversed the route during the production period. Further west, more unit grain and coal trains are seen in operation with newer locomotives leading the way. You'll enjoy seeing the changing landscape as the program unfolds, as we travel across the rolling Coteau Des Prairies landscape of the east, through Missouri R |
