Worth, the train headed south through Temple and on to Houston and Silsbee a whole new territory for this powerful 4-8-2 Mountain-type locomotive. The 1522 got a good workout, producing intense bursts of stack talk while lugging 16 gleaming passenger cars through the Texas Hills. She performed flawlessly, highballing over former Santa Fe track at incredible speeds.<br><br>You'll follow the 1522 on her travels for a total of 8 days, spotting railroad icons such as Tower 55, Tower 17, T&NO Junction, and more.
