Great train action along the rails of the Fort Worth & Western Railroad. The FWWR operates their long trains of frac sand and other commodities across their rail system that features 276 miles of rolling landscape in scenic north central Texas. Starting in Fort Worth, you'll see the Forth Worth & Western's Hodge Yard with switching and city locals, plus Forth Worth Hot Spots at Tower 55 & 60. This busy trackage is shared with the BNSF, Union Pacific and Amtrak. Fort Worth & Western road freights are covered along their scenic Dublin subdivision which includes the spectacular Mustang Creek Trestle, Lake Granbury and several depots. There's also FWWR local and switching action on the Cleburne and Gorman branch lines. Plus a segment on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad with a tourist train going to the Fort Worth Stockyards Historic District. FWWR diesel models include: GP38, GP38-3, GP40, GP40-2, GP50, SD40R, SD40-2 and Genset 2GS14. Rail footage era 2013. |
