Review of Duluth Missabe & Iron Range Volume 2 - The Low Hood Diesel Era DVD

Featuring the Duluth Missabe & Iron Range Railway and the DM&IR low nose diesel models including the rare 2000 horsepower SD38 types, rebuilt SD9 & SD18's known as SDM's and the 3000 horsepower SD40-3 tunnel motor units. Located in scenic Northeastern Minnesota, the DM&IR train action is seen system-wide on both the Missabe and Iron Range divisions. Many scenes were shot in spectacular fall colors and the exciting Missabe train action includes: crude ore, limestone, taconite pellet and freight service. See the ore docks in action with ships being loaded at both Duluth and Two Harbors. You'll also see the Minntac Plant and their huge open pit mine at Mountain Iron. Plus Minntac's in-plant railway is seen with trains hauling crude ore from the pits.
