Review of Chicago Central & Pacific - The Last Days DVD

 5 of 5 (1)
This program was shot just before and soon after the Chicago Central Railroad was reacquired by the Illinois Central. Starting at Waterloo, IA you'll see the Chicago Central covered west to Council Bluff, IA and east to Rockford, IL. See the colorful mix of Chicago Centrals 4-axle geeps as they are often seen working the rolling grades with up to eight diesel lash-ups. CC&P motive power includes GP7, 8, 10, 18, 20, 28 & 38s plus an SW13. The train action includes: yard switching, locals, mainline freights, unit trains and intermodals. Plus you'll also see the connecting roads of the BN, UP, C&NW, and SOO. This DVD was shot in 1996 through the camera of Bradley A. Plets.
