Plenty of great smoke, steam and cinders are portrayed on the newly restored Soo Line 2-8-2 #1003. The scenes were shot on two frigid November days in 1996 during the 1003's break-in run between Duluth and Two Harbors, Minnesota. The Duluth & Northern Minnesota #14, a 2-8-2, is seen pulling a tourist train on the NSSR line along the rocky northshore of Lake Superior from Duluth to the DM&IR yard and depot at Two Harbors. Soo Line FP7 #2500 is seen leading the D&NM #14 with a train heading south out of Superior for Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The 2-8-2 and FP7 are then seen doubleheading a Soo Line Historical Society fan trip between Prentice and Rhinelander. Operating out of the Lake Superior Museum of Transportation at the Duluth Union Depot is a street trolley, the Great Northern ??????Hustle Muscle?????? #400 and a RDC Budd Car which travels 25 miles over the North|
