Review of Reading Scrapbook Volume 4 DVD

In the early 1970's, the Reading Company operated an extensive network of rail lines in eastern Pennsylvania. This was particularly interesting to the late William Ashley Cooper, who spent much of his free time capturing a colorful collection of Reading trains on high-quality Super 8mm color movie film.

Opening with freight and passenger action around Allentown, this fine program also showcases Reading passenger trains on a number of scenic commuter lines originating in Philadelphia. Geeps and Alco RS3's handle switching assignments at Albertis, Tremont, and the Fuller plant in Allentown, and there's some exciting main line action at Emmaus.

Our tribute to the Reading Company continues with exclusive coverage of a special Railfan Weekend on the Blue Mountain & Reading in June, 1991, featuring famous T-1 Class 4-8-4 2102 along with restored GP30 5513 and Alco C630 5308. Great action scenes with superb stereo sound!
