This fine action program presents complete coverage of the 1991 NRHS Convention, held at Huntington, WV in August 1991 using Mark 1 independent footage not seen anywhere else. Three large steam locomotives were featured: N&W 2-6-6-4 1218 and the Van Swearingen designed Berkshire stars: Nickel Plate 2-8-4 765 and Pere Marquette 2-8-4 1225. Highlight of the year was the exciting all action running of the two 'Berks' with shotgun exhausts, side by side and doubleheaded, all captured in this exciting program. Five camera crews covered each excursion from many interesting angles. Beautiful trackside and pacing views, on-board scenes, night activities, plus many views of the double-train runbys. Also, in introducing each of the participating locomotives, the programme features vintage scenes of N&W steam and the Van Swearingen 'Berkshires', including 765 in regular service. *DVD* |
