Yes, strange trains they are. This video takes a look at some of the more unusual British steam locomotives. There's the Rocket, steam powered rail cranes, odd locomotives of varying designs, 15" and 7" gauge lines and American-built steamers that still survive in UK museums. A look at the new light rail systems such as the Docklands system and various funiculars.
I really wanted to see more of the 'Sir Vincent', a very strange looking locomotive. In addition to recent footage (of the 1980's and 90's), there is also some archival films, which are also seen in the Steam Around the World series. Not an action-packed DVD, but it could be of interest to those who like the more unusual rail stuff.

Additional remarks by Jeffrey Ornstein:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? I doubt it.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value:: Fair.
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.
