Cab Ride from Kansas City to Chicago Part # 5 finishes a long journey. Taking over from part # 4, there is more snow on the ground, but still some brown showing. Part way into the video, the rural country side gives way to the urban sprawl. There are more train meets as Metra enters the picture. Even a Canadian National freight train is met. Still the scene remains the same as we watch what appears to be an endless line of steel rails ahead. With the crew that took over in Galesburg, there is actually less cab chat, and more difficult to hear the chat. It is later in the day, and the sun is starting to get low, casting long shadows. The progress of the train also slows and actually stops for a bit a couple of times before a reverse move takes place. For the cab ride enthusiasts, this is a fine production and likely the best of the 5 Parts. I am not disappointed in the purchase of the series, but I question how much I would recommend it to other fans.

I HAVE TAKEN THE "CHIEF" FROM CHI-LA ROUND TRIP ALMOST YEARLY (12 TIMES).. ITS MY FAVORITE ROUTE...AND WHEN I'M IN BETWEEN TRIPS.. THESE CAB RIDE DVD'S ON MY 52" HD TV MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I'M ON THE TRAIN........
